WHY WE HEAL + WHO WE SERVE

Hurricane Helene struck Western North Carolina & surrounding areas on September 26, 2024, leaving widespread devastation in its wake. The storm brought catastrophic flooding, destructive winds & landslides that wiped out homes, businesses & infrastructure across the region. Entire communities were uprooted & the scale of damage left many without basic necessities like clean water, food or shelter.

WHO ARE WE?
Asheville Healing Hub is planting seeds of healing, growth & restoration for the entire community. In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, Western North Carolina’s grassroots organizers & local networks have been the heartbeat of recovery. They continue to tirelessly show up for our people with hands-on relief, food distribution, rebuilding efforts, emotional support & so much more.
We recognize that even the strongest among us need moments to reconnect with the inner wellspring that fuels this deep service. That’s why we’re creating a space where these stewards of change can step back from the frontlines & receive the nourishing care of the Asheville area’s vibrant healing community. We will offer them the support they need to keep showing up, stronger & more resilient than ever.

Tailored 1:1 sessions provide leaders with a safe space for deep reflection & healing so they can better navigate the unique challenges they're being presented with.

Collective grief sessions allow community organizers to process their losses together, fostering connection, resilience & a supportive network for healing.

NATURAL MEDICINE MAKING & DISTRIBUTION
We have large supplies of natural medicine for leaders to both utilize & distribute to enhance their own health & that of locals facing physical & emotional difficulties.

The serenity & comfort of our sanctuary offer those we are serving a chance to recharge, providing essential time for self-care amidst their demanding roles.

Supplying organic herbal teas, fresh water & nourishing food helps us ensure that those on the frontlines have the ample sustenance & energy.

WHY GRASSROOTS?
Asheville Healing Hub will provide grassroots community organizers with the care they need to continue their vital work in rebuilding WNC after Hurricane Helene. With funds raised, we aim to cover the operating costs of this healing space so we can offer free wellness services such as massage, herbal medicine, counseling & more to our changemakers.
